The Jacksonville Transportation Authority is seeking public input on proposed changes to its bus system at public meetings and a public hearing.
The launch of the Southeast Corridor First Coast Flyer Bus Rapid Transit system in December includes the proposed elimination of Routes 7, 33, 34 and 304; changes to Routes 17, 23, 25, 30 and 50; and new local routes.
The 11.1 mile-corridor is the third of a five-phased $23.8 million First Coast Flyer funded by federal, state and JTA money.
The meetings are an open house format so guests can discuss and provide feedback — 4 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Early Learning Coalition of Duval at 8301 Cypress Plaza Drive; 4 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday in Room E-104 at Florida State College of Jacksonville’s Kent Campus at 3939 Roosevelt Blvd.; and 4 to 6:30 p.m. Monday at Gateway Town Center at 5000 Norwood Ave.
A public hearing will be from 10 a.m. to noon, and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 28, in the auditorium (Room A1068) at Florida State College of Jacksonville’s Downtown Campus at 101 W. State St.
