A new study on the best airports for business travelers found that Miami International Airport was the top-ranked airport in Florida and the eighth-ranked facility in the United States.
The study released by TravelBank ranked the 30 busiest airports in the U.S. based on five factors, including transit accessibility; on-time arrival performance; overall quality satisfaction; parking rates; and nearby hotels.
Data provided by the Federal Aviation Administration and Department of Transportation found the Miami airport served 20.8 million passengers in 2016 and boasted a 79.1 percent on-time arrival performance in 2017, both numbers ranking highest among Florida airports.
Miami International Airprot also received high ratings in transit, which was calculated based on travel time, driving time, transit price and the cost of pre-booked UberX rides to or from the airport.
In addition, the Florida airport was one of the top-ranked facilities for business travelers in the overall quality and service category, as well as the availability of more affordable nightly rates at nearby hotels.
