New stations along SunRail’s $186.9 million Phase 2 South expansion are closing in on a summer unveil while setting the stage for their own economic impact.
Construction currently is wrapping up at stops in Orange County’s Meadow Woods neighborhood, downtown Kissimmee, and at the Osceola Parkway station near Tupperware’s corporate campus. The Poinciana Boulevard station seems ready for business, as the parking lot and passenger platforms are complete with new landscaping taking root and public art on display.
SunRail previously announced it’s hosting a Community Train Tour at its Poinciana Station just east of South Poinciana Boulevard, north of Old Tampa Highway on May 19 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
And here’s when the other three future train tour dates will be:
- Tupperware, at 3205 Orange Ave., Kissimmee, Saturday, June 16 from 10 a.m -2 p.m.
- Meadow Woods, at120 Fairway Woods Blvd., Orlando, Saturday, June 23: from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Kissimmee, at 320 Pleasant St., Kissimmee, Saturday, June 30 from 5-9 p.m.
