Bus riders in Pinellas County are expected to be able to quickly find first- and last-mile solutions with the launch of a new program.
The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority announced the partnership with Montréal, Québec-based company Transit that created the Transit+ app.
The Transit+ app is used to plan trips via different options like transit and Coast Bike Share. Now, users will also see suggestions for certain trips that include taking an Uber or Lyft part of the way, and connecting with bus service from PSTA. This feature allows users to plan, book and pay for a ride from either Uber or Lyft, while getting real-time updates on their PSTA bus connection — all in one app, according to the announcement on Tuesday.
