SpaceX successfully launched a rocket into the night sky about a half hour after midnight Monday morning, deploying a European company’s satellite, SES 12, with no apparent problems. The launch from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station’s Launch Complex 40 carried a satellite for one world’s biggest satellite companies — Luxembourg-based SES.

The SES satellite will be one of the company’s largest. it is designed to support SES’s direct-to-home broadcasting and data connectivity services in the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region, including rapidly growing markets such as India and Indonesia according to SES.
