The St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport has hit a new passenger growth mark, breaking its all-time annual record already.
This November was the largest November in the airport’s history with 173,316 passengers, a 1 percent increase over 2017, according to the airport’s monthly passenger report.
Year-to-date passengers are up 11 percent over 2017. The airport has had more than 2 million passengers thus far.
The airport will be offering two new services that will likely increase its passenger growth even more.
Allegiant will be offering a new service to Albany, New York starting Dec. 12 with fares beginning at $59. Edmonton, Alberta-based Flair Airlines Ltd., Canada’s only independent low-fare airline, will also be offering nonstop service from the airport to Winnipeg with flights starting on Dec. 17 with the promotional sale being $179.
Las Vegas-based Allegiant Air is the airport’s main carrier that operates the majority of the airport’s 59 nonstop destinations.
