A few weeks ago the Port of Panama City held a topping off ceremony for their eastern expansion project. That was phase one. On Monday the Panama City Port Authority gave the green light for phase two of the project. It includes the demolition of older warehouses to expand the first phase warehouse about 100,000 square feet.
The Port Authority said their confidence with Triumph and state money and the Port Authority funds was enough to seal the deal of the nearly $6 million second phase of the expansion.
Construction on the second phase begins at the end of August.
